1) Tell me the story of the band... (the fucking normal question... but let our readers know something about DNS...)
DNS:
One dreadful night, during the stormy hours of utmost blackness Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult was called into its baleful existence. That was back during the frosty winter months of 1997 by Onielar (Git+Vox) as well as Ariovist (Drums). The line-up was reinforced by Velnias (Git), who joined six blaspheming months later. It seems nearly impossible to find someone who'd be suitable for us, since nowadays respectable worthy individuals are rare - only those may join the fucking Slaughtercult. That's why we only have a session bassist (Grigorr) up 'til today. Since the end of the recordings of the first unholy chapter entitled "The Pest Called Humanity" in 1999 Ariovist rests in the past. It was unavoidable for him to die the musical death for he turned more and more into something we despise the most: a human being! During the course of two hard years the remaining two members patiently sharpened the blood crusted steel in order to strike again. Finally 2001 we released our second devastating chapter "Follow the Calls for Battle". With this blackish release Slaughtercult also recruited Horrn as a fulltime member, who as a fellow combatant successfully conquer the vacant drum throne. The year of 2002 is also the year of active battles, Slaughtercult began their crusade in March and is prepared to unleash the madness again, and again,...
2) I know that you have a female vocalist... why this choice? By the way I think you do the best... but I would like to know if there is some background on this...
DNS:
Who fucking cares if it is female or male vocalist. We get more and more fucking tired of this whole issue. Are the vokills simply good for a "female", or are the vocals overall hateful and misantrophic? We do not go by gender, we are proud warriors of black metal both seen as a music style as well as , more importantly, a way of live. We stand as a unit, a legion shoulder by shoulder, sword by sword. A horde of crowned individuals, who have elevated themselves to a higher, superior level of existence. In the early days we were lacking a separate vocalist, so it was up to one of us to take over the vocal lacerations. Well, guess what, it was Onielar who was best suited for this task. Never ever did we regret this choice to let Onielar take care of the vocal incantations. She spits out the curses against mankind the way of Slaughtercult: devastatingly raw and absolutely hateful! Anyone thinking female vokills have to be fucking sweat and enchanting, well guess what ? You are fucking wrong !
3) Do you play live shows? If so.. describe me one of this massacre...
DNS:
As mentioned previously, this year the active battle of Slaughtercult has begun. Just as we manifest our works under the banner of pure fucking black metal, we tend to do everything possible to create the same spirit on stage,... a shitload of shinning spikes and steel, as well as an overall cold atmosphere. Of course corpsepaint is part of this...since we shall grow stronger with every battle I advise that you take up the opportunity once you get the chance to experience a live battle.
4) What about the German scene of BM?
DNS:
Well, we all know there is one new modern trend which fucks up every scene, probably world wide...still some hordes, which are probably even known outside of Germany, are staying loyal to the roots in times of betrayal. Slaughtercult, however, distances itself from the "scene" as much as possible. Take a look in any mailorder, 95% of the stuff featured in it is unknown to us. May it be crap or not, nowadays you just can not be certain anymore. How can one judge upon something he does not participate with?
5) Are you Satanist? Tell us your point of view and so your believes and your philosophy through music and life...
DNS:
If you have ever received a biography of DNS you will read that Slaughtercult stands for own satanic, nihilistic believes. We will not bow down before God, Satan or any other religious leader, because they have hatched from the weak mental capability of mankind. We are our own masters. We are crowned individuals who walk above the ordinary human rank and file. Wearing a mask amongst the pale empty faces of our fellow human "comrades". Minor creatures - "insignificant to me you are!". The extreme aspect of our characters has lead us to the music, thus our "philosophy" has manifested itself in the music. If music is performed with utmost conviction it can easily be heard that it was played "with heart and soul". Guess what our point of view regarding humanity looks like,... call us what you will, "we will breathe your last breath!"
6) Do you think that polish and BM can be one?
DNS:
This probably aims at the massive NS hordes hailing from Poland... there is no use in saying it over and over again. BM is being raped in order to promote NS ideologies. It is misused for political propaganda. Fuck those traitors who have replaced the pentagrams and inverted crosses in their logos with NS symbols! But Poland still has some talented bands,... take our fellow satanic comrades in arms GOETIA for example...
7) Your sound is very good... which are the bands that have to inspire you?
DNS:
Since we have expressed our utmost deep and true feelings in both of the recordings it is natural that we aimed each time for the best possible quality. The sound has nothing to do with what inspires us. These are the drawn back moments when the black hooded crow solemnly croaks, these are the silent moments far off the well beaten track in the shadows of ages gone by, where the "spirit" lies embedded within the crown of each and every tree - the source of inspiration is mainly the constant progress of advancing upon the paths of spiritual enlightenment. On the other hand necessary inspiration is also drawn directly from the unnatural, superior hatred felt for human scum, for the weakest, most pathetic creatures on earth!
8) Tell me about your future plans..
DNS:
Future plans,... currently we are designing a TS for the second chapter, a vinyl version of it is also in progress to be released through Christhunt Productions. We are working on new material to unleash the third chapter in the distant future. Furthermore, we are constantly looking for possible live battles...
9) Comment the following words: - Life - Alcohol - Twin Towers - Desacrations - Rituals - Rape - Parents - Madness
DNS:
LIFE: Without life even death may die!
ALCOHOL: Kills sorrows for a moment, ... depending on the situation a possible way to move the point of rotation further towards the boundaries of "thoughts".
TWIN TOWERS: In return they should have bombed every Islamic state in the world...
DESECRATION: Meant as a blasphemous deed? Well, a necessary action which needs to be taken to show religious fanatics that there is an opposing force...
RITUALS: Very individual, private thought patterns which do not concern anyone else...
PARENTS: Those who provide human shells, nothing more than that!
MADNESS: The chasms of "understanding" spit forth madness and insanity, it is not meant for the weak to cross the barrier of mentally advancing. Wisdom, however, is never gained without paying a certain price. Those unaware or unprepared will drown in their self created thought patterns.
