TELL ABOUT TODAY'S DARKENED NOCTURN SLAUGHTERCULT.
Today's DARKENED NOCTURN SLAUGHTERCULT is starring back at approximately 7 infernal years of blasphemy. Since day one there have been two line up changes. Besides this fact nothing else has changed. SLAUGHTERCULT stands for pure fucking Black Metal. We did so in 1997 and we are still proudly raising our fist against the abode of heaven in the year 2004.
TELL ABOUT YOUR RELEASES. WHAT CAN YOU CHOOSE IN MAIN FROM THEM?
Our very first release was a self financed as well as self produced MCD entitled "The Pest Called Humanity" in 1999. 5 hymns which placed the founding stone of our saldorian stronghold. The herolds of SLAUGHTERCULT arose to announce the coming of a great war. Armies were gathered on both sides of the shore and unleashed in 2001 in form of another self financed CD release: "Follow the Calls for Battle"! Both of these chapters were later on also released on vinyl. While impatiently awaiting the third album an appetizer split LP was spawned in 2003. Everything released under the banner of SLAUGHTERCULT reflects our conspiracy for utmost raw Black Metal. In the old traditional way: grim, dark and evil!
WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT SOURCES THOSE INSPIRE YOU TO THE CREATION?
Although it is a bit too general our influences can be split up into two broad categories.
First the greatest pestilence, the foolishly so called highest of all beings: Humanity. As this cancerous disease walks down upon the dusty road towards unstopable perdition, we can draw enough hatred to blow them into oblivion. The abyssmal chasm of a perverted "human" mind can quickly lead to unknown horizions. To new "spheres and realms" previously unknown to the weak, pathetic majority of mankind. The second category is the Occult. Although both categories somewhat blend in to one sticky, purulent mouldering pus the second one can clearly be separated as it deals strictly with the self crowned I. No outer interferences! Nothing but individual spiritual ascendence matters.
WHAT FORMS AND MANIFESTATIONS OF ART DO YOU PREFER BESIDES BLACK METAL?
Despite the overwhelming power of "musick" there is ofcorpse the written as well as painted wisdom. Both of these may hold a certain enlightenment. Paintings may literally arouse the mind as it delivers a specific detailed "moment". Not more not less. Not impressed by dust and time this moment lasts forever. What ever lies before and after this captured moment is up to the imagination if the viewer. Now for the written enlightenment it is pretty much the other way around. Provided is a detailed, descriptive narration – or tuition concerning the more Occult, Philosophical literature. Still there is enough space to breathe life into words and sentences. Everything which allows the mind to form its own interpretation, everything which does not force the mind into a predefined corner is a prefered form of art. The essence of art itself is to find an individual interpretation of the currently considered object.
WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT OLD AND NEW GERMAN BLACK METAL BANDS? HAVE YOU CONTACTS WITH SOME OF THEM?
We are in touch with some German hordes, however, we have found our true comrade in arms within neighboring countries. Since 2002 SLAUGHTERCULT has been riding from one battlefield to the next spreading war, femine and death. Over the course of this experience we have met several German hordes. Some with very popular names, others barely newcomers. Those few truly dedicated hordes are outnumbered by the great disappointments of ridiculous, just to human "masterminds". It is unbelievable what kind of persons are worshipped and elevated to cult status in Germany. They are human, just too fucking human!
WHAT ARE SATANISM, NIHILISM, MISANTHROPY AND BLACK METAL FOR YOU?
The first three terms are intertwined with our definition of pure fucking Black Metal. A character is formed by self made experience. It is molded by fateful events in the past. The way true Black Metal is created is not by adopting a certain behaviour through the spirit of this music. It is an already present molded character which can channel the quintessence of extreme world views to output a so called Black Metal release. Thus, this musical style is part of our daily life. For it was Satanic, Nihilistic, Misanthropic ideologies which lead us to the great powers of extreme music.
DO YOU HOLD IN RESCEPT GERMAN IDEALISTIC PHILOSOPHY? TELL YOUR OPINION ABOUT CREATIONS OF F. NIETZSCHE, J. G. FICHTE, A. SCHOPENHAUER, O. SPENGLER, ETC.
Philosophy in general is a broad subject. Certainly there are some standard works which those who are interested will know. However, it is not possible to be familiar with each and every philosopher. Furthermore we do not strictly focus on our fellow countrymen. Nietzsche is ofcorpse one of these "standard" names. Thus, we have partially studied his most popular works. Speaking of Nietzsche... There is also a fantastic audible interpretation of "Also sprach Zarathustra" by R. Strauss! We do not have a specific philosopher, we study what at the moment of interest serves our deeds the best.

"...Dreams, prophecies and horrors... They all come as one"... I see mankind grovelling 'neath my throne, yet patiently I gaze ahead. For I know their end is coming.
DO YOU SCORN THIS SWINISH MATERIAL WORLD?
Material world paranoia. Materialistic world views have accompanied mankind throughout history. They are definitely paralles between every species ! Scorn ?! Partially absofuckinglutely yes, then again on the other hand: no. We do not believe in filthy Christian values such as peace, love and charity. Avaricious, selfish bastards do exist. We are forced to dwell upon this plain of existence for now. Those who have not seen beyond the "horizon". Those who have not crossed the "mental threshold" may think that hoarding earthly treasures is the highest of goals. Let it be known that during the great harvest the rich - the poor, the wise - the feeble... All fell down, all were slain.
To some extend these treasure hold a certain delight, however, it should only maintain the status of a welcomed addition. Those dazzled by materialistic goals are condemned to live a miserable life. Even more miserable then the ordinary filthy human being following in blind obedience while constantly becoming spiritually stultified.
WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT ARYOSOPHY AND NATIONAL-SOCIALISM?
Absofuckinglutely no fucking interest ! We believe in Black Metal based on Occult soil. Politics in general a waste of time, just like the majority of manmade things.
WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT LIFE-ASSERTING PAGANS?
We are no peace believers, not supporters of charity and no freaking upholder of moral standards. We do not speak in favor of life as it is in general perceived. The precious gift of life has been bestowed upon us, thus now we must make the best out of it. This is merely one sphere, the plane of suffering, but only the feeble will surrender. Only the blind will stay!
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT INTERNET? DO YOU USE IT OFTEN?
Obviously the internet plays a role for SLAUGHTERCULT. Otherwise there would not be an official webhell http:///www.slaughtercult.de! Just like the internet can live without us, so can SLAUGHTERCULT survive without the world wide web. Access to the internet allows faster and easier communication, information exchange as well as many insights otherwise not possible due to lack of financial funds, country distances, etc. Find your way amongst all the self loving low life fuck ups and the internet can be a useful tool in any aspect.
I KNOW THAT NOW THERE ARE MANY WEB-SITES OF CHRISTIAN METAL BANDS. SOME FROM THESE BASTARDS HAVE THE CHEEK TO CALL THEMSELVES AS "CHRISTIAN BLACK METAL" OR "UNBLACK METAL". HOW CAN YOU CHARACTERIZE THIS SCUM?
We do not waste our time with such superfluous human beings. In every corner of this planet you will stumble upon human scum. Our strength and vigour focuses on other by far more important matters. Let them do what they like... Sheath their final prayers with flame licking swords. May the judging blade strike swiftly and hard.
